This is to convey that any child , when believed in can make a difference in the world and accomplish their dream. The upbeat tempo of the backing track used, (Everybody wants to rule the world),  makes the demographic believe the campaign more and it could convince them to donate towards a trustworthy and rewarding cause. What Is Cross Platform Advertising?

      Q. What Is Cross Platform Advertising?

Throughout the course of this essay I will be exploring what the purposes of Cross Platform Advertising are and some of the main ways it is used in the media sectors. I will be referring to how companies use Cross Platform Advertising and how it is effective towards the demographic.
Cross Platform Advertising, which can be known as Cross-media, is when multiple forms of media e.g.; Print , Television , Social Media, is used to advertise a specific product or event on multiple platforms which targets the correct demographic.
The 4 main platforms of advertising are;
  • Print Based- Billboards, Newspapers, Bus stop adverts, Tube and Train posters.
  • Television- Adverts in-between programmes, advertisement of products subtly in the programme itself.
  • Radio- Audio adverts in between songs and radio broadcasts.
  • Social Media; Adverts in between subscribe Snapchat accounts, Facebook, Facebook video adverts, YouTube.
Cross Platform Advertising is effective because it targets the required audience through their previous searches or uses of media. There is a form of media that reaches every part of the demographic spectrum, for example; Newspapers are stereotypically used by the older generation and post adverts to interest that sector of society. Capital FM targets a younger sector of the demographic and will broadcast certain audio adverts to intise the listeners. On the other hand, print based adverts such as on the train and tube would target a larger sector of the demographic and try to cater to the majority of society's interests.

To conclude, I think that Cross Platform Advertising is effective but could also have a contracting effect, over exposer to adverts could push the audience to go against the purpose of the advert and not purchase the product or whatever the advert is promoting.
